While treating patients, doctors often have questions about signs and symptoms, medications, diagnoses, and diseases. The Semantic Clinical Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) is a doctor facing chatbot that is designed to assist clinicians. The chatbot is a semantically augmented Large Language Model (LLM) which is a Generative Pre-trained Transformer. When SCAI is asked a question, it is first converted into semantic triple knowledge statements with our High Definition Natural Language Processing (HD-NLP) program. These semantic triples are trained on clinical guidelines before being presented to the LLM in order to provide context to the question. This helps reduce sociodemographic bias inherent in most LLMs.
Please feel free to try out the SCAI clinical chatbot below. It may be used with text or audible questions provided you have a working microphone.
